New Mexico in August
Every August, collectors and dealers alike, flock to
New Mexico for the dozens of art and "antique"
events that occur during this high season. I have
been fortunate enough to attend many of these
venues over the past few years.

It's easy to waste away hours at the Fine Arts of
the American West Show, Great Southwestern
Antiques Show, Ethnographic Show, Indian Art
Show, and the Indian and Tribal Arts Show. Then
there's the famous Tesuque Indian flea market, the
great local antiques shops, Indian market,
galleries on Canyon road, the plaza, and several
off shoot shows that only happen in August.
Coming from humid Dallas, I was happy to just
take in the arid beautiful skys, but catching up
with old friends is the main reason I come.
Adobe Church at Grand and Marcy St, Santa Fe, NM
I snapped this photo without getting
the specs on the location. I believe
these are the offices to the Georgia
O'Keefe Museum. What fascinated
me were the incredible lush green
trees in the courtyard. The photo is
completely untouched...no wonder
people pay a premium to live in
Santa Fe.
